Champagne Mango Moscato Wine Slush

Did you know there is such a thing as a “champagne mango”? Neither did I. Or maybe you did. Either way, it is the ideal fruit to pair with Moscato for a wine slush, don’t you think? Agreed.

This is truly so easy that the most difficult part is slicing the mango. But, your efforts will be rewarded. Promise.

The champagne mango is smaller than a typical mango, so it may take 2-3 to slice enough mango for the slushes. The flavor is truly decadent. It really is nature’s candy. You can easily increase this recipe for a large group, but I made a small batch for two.

  • 1.5 cups of chopped champagne mango (or regular mango should work just fine)
  • 1 cup moscato (or muscat canelli)
  • 2-2.5 cups ice to preference

Blend all ingredients until smooth. I would recommend using a sweet or even dessert moscato. This Becker Vineyards Muscat Canelli made with the muscat grapes from our family’s vineyard is perfect. The ice really cuts down on the sweetness more than you would think.

Add sugar, agave or splenda to taste. I prefer my slush pretty thick, so I added an extra handful of ice and tablespoon of splenda. Perfect. Find a pool chair and enjoy!

Cheers! – E

  1. Sounds tasty!
It seems indeed more appropriate to use Moscato or another affordable sparkling rather than genuine Champagne unless you don’t know what to do with your money. You probably loose a lot of the wine’s taste anyway.
    Cheers. Thanks for sharing 🙂
